Terms of Service

1. Introduction and Acceptance of Terms

Chillstreams provides software and services that aggregate, proxy, and surface metadata and stream links obtained from third-party addons and services for use with Stremio and related clients. By installing, configuring, accessing, or using the Chillstreams addon ("Service," "Addon," "we," "us"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you must strictly stop using the Service and uninstall the Addon immediately.

Definitions

• Service: Chillstreams software, APIs, web UI, manifests, and related tooling.
• Third-Party Content: Content, streams, links, manifests, metadata, or services provided by external providers (addons, debrid providers, indexers, hosting services).
• You / User: The person or entity using the Service.

2. Nature of the Service: Configuration and Data Handling

You acknowledge and agree that Chillstreams is strictly a technical utility and configuration manager. Its function is limited to packaging, aggregating, and simplifying the installation of independently developed third-party addons (similar to AIOStreams and AIOMetadata) by generating a unified configuration manifest.

• Core Function: Chillstreams aggregates and proxies manifests, catalogs, metadata, and stream URLs from Third-Party Addons.
• We do not produce, host, or control media content or stream files. All stream URLs, catalogs, and media metadata come from third-party addons and providers.
• Chillstreams' role is to fetch, transform, and optionally cache configuration-related data (manifests, catalog lists, metadata mappings) to generate a unified manifest for your Stremio client.
• Any links or stream endpoints surfaced to your client are provided by third parties; Chillstreams does not endorse or verify the legality of those links.
• Caching is limited to configuration and metadata used to build manifests. Cached configuration data may be removed if we receive a valid legal request.

3. Third-Party Addons and Content Disclaimer

The Service integrates and depends on Third-Party Providers; their terms and policies apply to your use of those providers.

• Sole Responsibility: You bear the sole responsibility for selecting, installing, and using any Third-Party Addons or external services (e.g., Debrid providers, indexers) via Chillstreams.
• No Verification or Endorsement: Chillstreams does not control Third-Party Content and is not responsible for its availability, legality, or accuracy.
• Liability Shield: We are not responsible for Third-Party Content, outages, removals, changes, or security vulnerabilities caused by Third-Party Addons. Links and proxied URLs are supplied by or via third parties; Chillstreams does not verify the legal status of each link.

4. User Responsibilities, Prohibited Uses & Legal Compliance

You agree that you are solely responsible for your use of the Service.

• Jurisdictional Compliance: Laws regarding streaming, torrenting, and content aggregation vary significantly by location. You are solely responsible for ensuring that your use of Chillstreams and any Third-Party Addons complies with all applicable laws of your specific jurisdiction.

Prohibited Uses:

You must not:

• Use the Service to infringe intellectual property rights or distribute copyrighted content without authorization.
• Attempt to bypass third-party access controls, rate limits, or payment systems.
• Use the Service for unlawful purposes or to facilitate infringement, fraud, or the distribution of malware.

Credential Security:

If you connect accounts or API keys for third-party services (debrid, drive providers, indexers), you represent you are authorized to use those credentials and are responsible for keeping them secure.

5. Accounts, Billing, and Subscriptions

Chillstreams supports persistent user accounts to store minimal account data (email, settings, and optional third-party API credentials). We use Stripe for subscription billing and payment processing. By creating an account and subscribing you authorize us to charge your payment method via Stripe. Billing details (full card numbers) are handled by Stripe and are not stored on Chillstreams servers.

6. Analytics and Telemetry

We use PostHog to collect product analytics limited to interactions with the Chillstreams configuration interface (page views, clicks, wizard progress, feature selection). We do NOT track what you stream, watch, or any data exchanged between your Stremio client and third-party addons. You may request that analytics tracking for your account be disabled by contacting us (see Contact).

7. Takedown / Copyright Policy (Minimal Process)

Chillstreams only processes configuration and manifest data and does not host media content. For alleged copyright infringement related to content delivered by third-party addons, we recommend contacting the originating addon/provider first — they are the primary party to remove or block content.

If you believe Chillstreams has cached configuration data that directly references infringing material and you want it removed, send a written notice to our legal contact including enough information for us to locate the material. We will act in good faith and, where appropriate and lawful, remove or disable cached configuration references. We will also forward valid takedown notices to the third-party addon/provider when contact information is available.

To make a valid takedown request to Chillstreams, please include the following:

• A short identification of the copyrighted work (title/author) and the location in Chillstreams output (URL or manifest id).
• Your contact info (email and phone) and a short statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is unauthorized.
• Your electronic signature (typed name is acceptable).

Chillstreams will review valid notices and, where appropriate and lawful, remove or disable cached configuration references. We also recommend submitting the same takedown to the originating addon/provider; Chillstreams does not host media files and often cannot directly remove content from third-party sources.

8. Disclaimers and No Warranty

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE." CHILLSTREAMS MAKES NO WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. CHILLSTREAMS DOES NOT WARRANT UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE OPERATION.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CHILLSTREAMS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, SPECIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS OR DATA, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE OR THIRD-PARTY CONTENT.

Total liability, if any, shall not exceed amounts paid by you to Chillstreams in the prior twelve (12) months, or USD 100 if no payments were made.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Chillstreams, its maintainers, contributors, and affiliates from claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from:

• Your breach of these Terms;
• Your improper use of the Service;
• Your violation of third-party rights.

11. Enforcement and Termination

Chillstreams may suspend or terminate access, remove content, or block accounts for violations of these Terms or applicable law. Remedies are cumulative and Chillstreams may pursue any available legal or equitable relief.

12. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the law of the owner's jurisdiction. Disputes shall be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction unless otherwise agreed.

13. Export, Compliance, and Miscellaneous

Export/Registries:

If you publish artifacts to container registries or other package services, you are responsible for complying with those registries' authentication, naming, and permission rules.

Severability:

If any provision is found invalid or unenforceable, the remainder remains in effect.

Entire Agreement:

These Terms constitute the entire agreement regarding the Service between you and Chillstreams.
